Device Check-In and Fault Registration
We record the full model number, supplied accessories and symptoms, including evidence of impact, moisture exposure or earlier repairs. We test accessible functions before opening the device.
Has your classic Nokia stopped connecting to the mobile network, or is your Android Nokia no longer charging or displaying an image? At ARVUTIABI-ESOFT OÜ in Lasnamäe, Tallinn, we diagnose mobile phones from different Nokia generations: G, X and C series Android smartphones as well as traditional handsets with physical keypads. Repair feasibility depends on the exact model, its condition and the availability of replacement parts.
For smartphones, we inspect display assemblies, touch panels, charging connectors and Android hardware. With keypad phones, we also check buttons, battery contacts, earpieces and network circuits. We identify the fault before discussing repair options and pricing. Not every service applies to every Nokia model.

Prices marked “from” are starting prices. The final repair cost depends on the device model, the nature of the fault, the required spare parts, and the diagnostic results.
The cost of diagnostics depends on the type of device and the complexity of the diagnostic work, but does not exceed €20.
* If the customer agrees to proceed with the repair, diagnostics are free of charge, as they are an integral part of the repair process. In this case, the customer pays only the agreed repair price.
We record the full model number, supplied accessories and symptoms, including evidence of impact, moisture exposure or earlier repairs. We test accessible functions before opening the device.
We check power, display, charging, communications and other relevant sections according to the reported symptoms. Measuring instruments and a microscope are used where needed. We distinguish hardware failures from software faults.
We verify compatible parts for the specific Nokia and assess whether the repair is practical. We explain possible solutions and restrictions and agree on the cost before starting paid work.
Once the agreed work is complete, we check startup, charging, display, mobile connection, sound and other affected functions. For keypad phones, we also test the relevant physical buttons where they formed part of the repair.
After an impact, an Android Nokia screen may crack, show distorted colours or stop responding to touch. Classic keypad phones usually have no touchscreen, but their LCD, display ribbon or protective glass may still be damaged. We inspect the backlight, display connector and assembly before choosing a repair appropriate to the particular device.
Charging may start and stop when the plug moves, proceed unusually slowly or fail completely. Depending on the generation, Nokia devices may have USB-C, Micro-USB or other connectors. We rule out charger and cable faults, inspect the contacts for debris and check the battery and power circuitry. A faulty charging port is not assumed from one symptom alone.
Short battery life and shutdowns despite remaining charge may indicate battery ageing, excess current draw or unstable power delivery. On Android phones we assess app-related load; on classic Nokia handsets we also check battery terminals and the consumption of basic circuits. A compatible replacement battery is recommended only when the diagnostic results support it.
Repeated restarts are not necessarily caused by software. A failing battery, poor connections, motherboard defects or Android errors can produce similar symptoms. We determine when the heat and instability occur, inspect power delivery and assess software indications. For keypad models, we take their different firmware and hardware architecture into account.
If the person on the call sounds quiet, voice recordings contain no sound or the camera fails, we inspect the relevant component as well as acoustic openings, ribbon cables, connectors and available settings. Some basic Nokia keypad phones have no camera at all; we tailor the checks to the actual features of the device.
Liquid damage can cause failures long after the phone initially appears to work. Contacts oxidise, current leakage develops and power circuits may fail. Under magnification we inspect the charging socket, connectors, battery area and circuit board. Do not turn on or charge a wet phone before inspection. Repair feasibility depends on the extent of damage.
A frozen startup screen, repeated boot attempts or no response to the power button can result from storage, battery, system-file or power-supply faults. We first check the hardware and identify the software platform. A reset or firmware reinstall can erase data, so any such procedure is discussed with the customer in advance.
When a Nokia cannot register on a mobile network, drops calls or loses wireless connections, we check the SIM, network settings, antenna contacts and radio circuitry. Not all classic Nokia phones support Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, so those functions are tested only where present. The faulty section is determined through diagnosis.
The workshop’s general price list states that smartphone diagnostics are free. For classic Nokia keypad phones, confirm the acceptance and repair terms when contacting the workshop.
We can assess the device and whether repair is technically possible. The outcome depends on the specific model, defect and availability of suitable parts.
Sometimes, if the display and touch sensor still work and the assembly allows the glass to be replaced separately. Keypad and touchscreen models require different approaches.
Besides the cable, possible causes include debris or damage inside the connector, battery deterioration and failed motherboard power circuits. The port type depends on the model.
Not necessarily. We first assess the battery, storage and motherboard. Software recovery may delete user data.
The answer depends on the state of the motherboard and keypad assembly and on the availability of compatible components. Some older parts are no longer readily available.
Data preservation cannot be guaranteed when storage, motherboard or software-related faults are involved. We recommend backing up a working device beforehand.
Timing depends on the diagnosis and component supply. Warranty terms for completed work and installed parts are recorded when the order is accepted.
