Record the Model and Inspect the Housing
We document the model, exact variant, reported symptoms and condition. The frame, port covers, sealing components and evidence of previous opening receive particular attention.
Is your rugged CAT phone failing to charge, displaying a damaged picture or unable to connect to a network? At ARVUTIABI-ESOFT OÜ in Lasnamäe, Tallinn, we diagnose CAT (Cat Phones) devices including S75, S62 Pro, S53, S42, S61, S52 and S22 Flip. We identify the fault, confirm the exact model and agree on repairs after checking parts availability.
CAT phones differ from ordinary slim smartphones: many feature reinforced housings, seals, protective port covers and specialist component layouts. Worn sealing parts, previous disassembly and the device’s age affect repair options. The S62 Pro and S61 may also require checks of their dedicated thermal-imaging systems. We cannot automatically guarantee restoration of the original water- or dust-resistance rating after opening the device.

Prices marked “from” are starting prices. The final repair cost depends on the device model, the nature of the fault, the required spare parts, and the diagnostic results.
The cost of diagnostics depends on the type of device and the complexity of the diagnostic work, but does not exceed €20.
* If the customer agrees to proceed with the repair, diagnostics are free of charge, as they are an integral part of the repair process. In this case, the customer pays only the agreed repair price.
We document the model, exact variant, reported symptoms and condition. The frame, port covers, sealing components and evidence of previous opening receive particular attention.
We test power, display, charging and the functions relevant to the complaint. A multimeter, microscope and hardware tests may be used where needed. Android behaviour and potential risks to stored data are assessed separately.
We verify the compatibility and availability of parts for the exact CAT generation, explain any limitations of the rugged housing and provide the proposed price. Paid work begins after approval.
After approved work, we test the restored functions: touch, image, charging, audio, cameras, connectivity and boot stability. The factory water-resistance rating cannot be verified without appropriate testing.
Even toughened protective glass can crack after a severe impact, damaging the underlying display or touch panel. Typical symptoms include coloured lines, dark areas and inaccurate touch response. We inspect the screen assembly, its board connection and any housing distortion. Parts for CAT S75, S53, S62 Pro and earlier models are selected by exact part number; visually similar panels are not necessarily interchangeable.
During outdoor work, charging ports are often exposed to dust, sand and moisture. For intermittent charging we test the power adapter, cable, port seal and contacts, then measure input current and examine related components. Connector types vary between CAT generations. We do not recommend soldering or replacing a socket until the fault is confirmed; the battery or power circuit may be responsible.
If a phone no longer lasts a work shift, its charge level drops unevenly or it shuts down in cold conditions or under load, we assess battery wear, standby current and voltage stability. On older rugged CAT devices, suitable replacement battery availability needs separate verification. We recommend replacement only when testing supports it: excessive consumption alone does not prove battery failure.
Repeated restarts may occur after a drop, during navigation or camera use, or even while the phone is idle. We inspect Android system errors, temperature patterns, power supply and connections between internal modules. A sealed, reinforced case affects heat dissipation, but overheating alone does not identify a faulty chip. We explain possible data-loss risks before any reset.
If callers cannot hear you, the earpiece sounds muffled or the camera fails to open, we check sound openings, membranes, app permissions, connectors and hardware modules in sequence. Contamination from building-site use may imitate component failure. For CAT S62 Pro and S61, ordinary camera faults must be distinguished from thermal-imaging faults, which need separate assessment.
A rugged design does not eliminate liquid damage when port covers wear out, the case is cracked or the phone has previously been opened. Corrosion may surface later as charging, network or microphone problems. We inspect ports, seals and accessible board areas for moisture and electrical leakage. Do not charge a wet phone. Repairability depends on the electronics’ condition, and we do not guarantee the original waterproofing.
A persistent CAT splash screen, boot loop or completely black display may stem from the power supply, storage or damaged operating-system files. We first assess hardware faults and the risk to personal files, then agree on the next steps. Factory resets and software reinstallation are not universal solutions and may erase user data.
Dropped cellular service while travelling, failure to pair a wireless headset or unstable Wi-Fi can be caused by the operator, settings or hardware. We check the SIM, network conditions, model-supported frequency bands and test connections. When a hardware fault is indicated, we inspect antenna contacts, flex cables, housing connections and radio circuits. Satellite features on one model do not mean all CAT phones use the same communications system.
You can bring these models in for diagnostics. Whether repairs are possible, and which parts can be used, depends on the actual fault and availability of compatible components.
The original workshop price list describes smartphone diagnostics as free. Final repair and parts costs are determined after inspecting the device.
The original factory protection level cannot be guaranteed after opening without the manufacturer-prescribed procedure and appropriate testing. The condition of the seals and frame must be assessed.
We assess the reported symptoms and distinguish software issues, connection problems and faults in the dedicated module. Repair options and parts availability are determined individually.
Dust, sand or moisture may have entered the port, but the cable, battery or power circuitry may also be responsible. Diagnosis is needed; automatic socket replacement is not justified.
Availability cannot be guaranteed across all generations. We verify the exact model identifier and supply of a compatible part before placing an order.
Data recovery depends on the condition of the storage and mainboard. We do not perform a reset or flash that may erase files without agreement; we recommend a backup where possible.
Timing depends on diagnosis, complexity and parts delivery. Warranty conditions for approved work are confirmed and documented when the repair order is accepted.
