The cost of diagnostics depends on the type of device and the complexity of the diagnostic work, but does not exceed €20.

We record the model, reported symptoms and circumstances of the fault. The screen, housing, connector and accessible functions are inspected, and any visible existing damage is documented before disassembly.
We measure relevant power parameters and inspect components and software symptoms associated with the reported fault. Google diagnostic tools and Repair Mode may be available on supported devices. Applicability is checked for the individual phone; these features cannot guarantee data preservation in every repair.
Once the fault is located, we explain repair options, component compatibility, possible limitations and estimated costs. Operations that could affect user data are discussed separately. Work begins after approval.
We complete the approved component replacement or board-level repair, reassemble the Pixel and test image, touch input, charging, cameras, sound and connectivity as applicable. Some models may require further checks or setup procedures after parts replacement.
An impact may damage the outer glass only, or affect the OLED panel, touch layer or display connection. If a Pixel vibrates and still receives notifications but shows a black screen, we check both the display assembly and its connections. Replacement parts are selected for the precise generation and model variant, with due attention to installation and touch-function testing.
Intermittent charging and a complete lack of response can have several causes: worn port contacts, pocket lint or dirt, a faulty cable or adapter, or a problem in the charging circuit. We first rule out external causes and measure power consumption before inspecting the connector and related components. The USB-C port is replaced only when a fault is confirmed.
A rapidly changing battery percentage, poor runtime or shutdowns under load may indicate battery degradation or abnormal power draw. We compare behaviour in standby and during use, assess charging, heat and motherboard power delivery. Battery replacement is recommended based on diagnostic findings rather than a single Android battery indicator.
Excessive heat while recording video, navigating or even idling, especially alongside repeated restarts, calls for separating software and hardware causes. We review when the issue occurs, battery condition, power draw, connections and available Android system events. A factory reset is not treated as a universal repair before potential hardware issues are evaluated.
A camera-app error, failed autofocus, missing voice recordings and a quiet earpiece are separate symptoms. We test app permissions, camera and audio modules, mesh openings, flex cables and connectors in sequence. On multi-camera models we identify the specific failed unit rather than unnecessarily replacing working components.
Even where water resistance was advertised, liquid ingress remains possible, particularly after impact or previous repairs. Moisture in connectors or on the board may cause corrosion or current leakage later on. We inspect connections and electronic areas under magnification and assess whether cleaning and restoration are feasible. A wet Pixel should not be charged before inspection.
A device frozen on the Google logo, repeatedly restarting or failing to power on may have faults involving Android system files, storage, power circuitry or the battery. We assess the electronic condition first and discuss the possibility of preserving user data. Flashing firmware and resetting the phone can delete information and therefore require prior approval.
When the phone cannot register on a mobile network, connect to a home access point or maintain wireless accessories, we check network settings, SIM/eSIM configuration and the exact symptoms. Where necessary, we inspect antenna contacts, coaxial connectors and radio-frequency circuits. Hardware work is proposed only after the cause is identified.

Not necessarily. Retaining a working panel is only feasible if the display construction and touch-layer condition allow it. Damage to the panel may require a different solution.
